Prostate cancer occurs only in men, and involves the growth of abnormal cells in the prostate. The prostate is a gland which produces semen. Most prostate cancer happens in men over the age of 50, is slow growing and does not cause any major problems. However for those who are younger or where the cancer grows more quickly, treatment will be needed.
