Book Review – Family Support

‘What can I do to help?’ is one of the first questions we want answered when someone we care about it ill. You can get answers, and lots of personal stories, from reading this book. I loved the light-hearted tone and straight talking from this book, and found I was fascinated by the details of how other people coped in this situation.

  1. Seems to be an old book, only resellers listed with Amazon.
There are actually rather few spots where you can get first-hand information on the topic of terminal illness. http://www.justtopnotch.com is one of them, especially desinged to give helpful advice to the ill person as well as to people caring an ill person. Most time the caring person forgets about himself, a fatal error. Think about it: Only a vigorous and healthy person has enough reserves to help others. It is no egoism at all to take care of oneself first and then help the other (Don´t take this wrong: They instruct parents in the airplane to put on the oxygen mask first and then put it on your child – this applies also to those situations!).

  2. There is a new edition, which explains why there are only resellers. I have updated the link to show the current edition, and will alter the review to refer to this edition soon.
