Sunday 7th June was Cancer Survivors Day. Not just in the UK, but worldwide there were events taking place to celebrate those who have overcome cancer. If you are close to someone who has survived cancer, take a moment to give thanks for that. Cancer does not have to be a death sentence. I look forward to seeing this day go from strength to strength – though I hope one day it will not be needed as we finally understand and avoid the causes of this disease.
